Pray Pray Pray!
Monday, January 25, 2010 at 9:46AM There is no time when a church should not be a house of prayer. At no time should a body of believers allow themselves to go without desperately seeking God for direction before every step. There are deceptively calm times when the enemy doesn’t seem to be active, no one seems particularly bothered and all seems fine. Complacency is difficult to overcome under those circumstances, but we should never give in to it. Then there are times such as these.
Many if not all of us have noted change in the air, no not on the political horizon but on the spiritual. The atmosphere around Connections Church has been, I don’t know different. We all feel the Spirit of God moving and reshaping us, but into what we don’t know. There’s only one way to know and that is through prayer.
Early in the month, when we started the Thursday evening prayer meetings I went to the Lord and asked Him what Connections would look like when the reshaping was done. He showed me key foundational building blocks being reshuffled and He said they only move by prayer. Then I saw stones being taken from where they were and put in another place, and again He said they only move by prayer. Finally I saw mortar being poured in to make the foundation true and strong, and of course He said, “…only by prayer”.
Then I asked what specifically would it look like when it was all done and He said it makes little difference. What you are looking for is power not any particular form, and of course- that only comes through prayer.
So keep praying Connections, and just see what God does!!!
Believing God Together,
Jim
